Amanda Long, Designer
My path as an artist began early. Growing up in the midst of my family's commercial art business in Dayton, Ohio, paints, paper, and artistic support were never hard to come by. My work as a designer began about nine years ago as a production artist formatting publications, doing layout design, and creating spot illustrations and cover art for publications. After becoming certified in Web development and interactive media design, I founded Wyrmwyrx and have enjoyed working with a wide variety of amazing clients on many interesting print and Web design projects.
On a more personal note, I have been in Colorado for 14 years…soaking in the sunshine and the mountains. I enjoy hiking, gardening, reading, cooking, martial arts, spending time with my wonderful family, and anything that fulfills my need for creativity. My favorite mediums are oil paint, Photoshop, fabric, and the living tapestry that is my garden of organic food, flowers, and all things green and growing.
Looking forward, I hope to paint more pictures, spend more time in the mountains, and to someday earn my Black Belt in Kenpo Karate. Professionally, I am looking forward to new projects that introduce me to new amazing people and push me to create in new ways. For now, I'll keep challenging myself to learn more and always keep growing in my skills and in my self.
